Beam me up Music

I love to ride my bicycle. Even more with some music. Yesterday my Iphones “random generator” surprised me with a very old song, which animated me directly to write this blog...

So I went around the Alster, the sun was shining, the wind was cold and this song screamed: Write a blog!!! Please!!!
My frozen ears cried back: Let's see! No time! My last blog has not been back for weeks without a reason...
Well, I do not want to make it unnecessarily exciting. The song I am talking about was"I Believe in Love" by Daliah Lavi, a singer who most of you won’t know. She recently celebrated her 70th birthday.
As a child, I found her record in my father's recordboard, and felt in love with her song "Jerusalem". I am still able to recite the words, better than "Zauberlehrling" by Goethe or "Die Glocke” by Schiller" ;-) "Jerusalem" was frankly also the trigger, why I absolutely wanted to go to Israel with my son some years ago and did so. A dream!

A couple of years ago I've bought her best of but never really listened to it. But, well, as I said, yesterday the random generator sent me "I believe in love". At first I thought, "Oh, no, it's too old." But then I let myself in and listened to the words. About the melody can be argued, but it did not hurt me that much. Especially because I loved her thoughts:

“Love is music and music is love
This is easy to understand
Because people who believe in both
Are the happiest people
Which I have ever seen ... "

Yes, exactly, I could not have put it into words better.
Since I follow my heart with no accepts, I am as happy as a child. No matter what happens.
And with music it’s even much easier ;-) I don’t really care, what the random generator of my Iphone chooses, it fits always, somehow...

"Music is a wonderful language
Love is her composer..."
